Responsible AI Policy

IntelliOpsAI builds and advises on artificial intelligence with a firm commitment to human oversight, transparency, fairness and enterprise-grade governance.

Last updated: November 1, 2025
01

Human Oversight

Every AI system we design or advise on is built to operate under meaningful human oversight. High-impact decisions — including those with financial, legal, safety, employment or customer-outcome implications — are designed with explicit review points, approval workflows and the ability for a qualified human to intervene, override or stop the system.

02

Transparency

We help clients make it clear to users when they are interacting with an AI system, and we document the purpose, data sources, models, boundaries and known limitations of each system we build. We support disclosure practices aligned with emerging regulations and enterprise governance standards.

03

Fairness

We consider fairness a design requirement, not an afterthought. We evaluate use cases for the populations they affect, avoid designs that produce unjustified disparities and reject engagements where AI would be used to discriminate against protected groups.

04

Bias Mitigation

We assess training data, prompts and evaluation sets for representativeness, and we test model behaviour across relevant segments before production. Where residual bias is identified, we document it, mitigate it where possible and communicate remaining limitations to the client so that appropriate controls are put in place.

05

Privacy

We apply data minimisation to every AI engagement. Only data necessary for the defined use case is used, and personal or sensitive information is handled in line with the client's privacy programme and applicable law. Details of how IntelliOpsAI itself handles personal information are set out in our Privacy Policy.

06

Security

AI systems are treated as first-class components of an enterprise attack surface. We apply secure development practices, defend against prompt injection and data exfiltration risks, evaluate third-party model providers, and align our controls with the practices described in our Security Policy.

07

Responsible Automation

Intelligent automation is deployed to remove friction, not to eliminate accountability. We design workflows so that AI agents and automations operate within clearly scoped permissions, log their actions, and escalate to humans when confidence is low or when a decision falls outside their defined boundaries.

08

Explainability

Where a decision materially affects people, we favour models and patterns that can be explained in plain language. When more opaque models are appropriate, we pair them with interpretability techniques, reason codes or human-in-the-loop review so that operators and reviewers can understand and challenge outcomes.

09

Compliance

We track evolving AI regulation and enterprise governance frameworks — including the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001 and sector-specific guidance — and align our advisory and delivery practices to help clients build programmes that stand up to internal and external scrutiny.

10

Continuous Monitoring

Responsible AI does not end at go-live. We build monitoring into production systems to detect drift, degraded quality, unusual behaviour and emerging risks. We recommend periodic model reviews, incident retrospectives and governance checkpoints so that AI systems remain fit for purpose over time.

11

Ethical AI Principles

  • Human first. AI serves people; people remain accountable.
  • Purpose driven. Every AI system exists to solve a defined business or user problem.
  • Transparent by default. Users, operators and reviewers understand what the system does and why.
  • Fair and inclusive. Systems are designed and tested to avoid unjust disparities.
  • Secure and private. Data and models are protected with enterprise-grade controls.
  • Accountable. Ownership, escalation paths and audit trails are defined before deployment.
  • Continuously improved. Performance, quality and risk are monitored throughout the lifecycle.
